With the recent launch
of the British Fashion Council’s Digital Schedule of virtual fashion shows,
Burberry has been quick to toss its hat into the ring of futuristic fashion, with the announcement
that it will be live streaming its AW 2010 catwalk show at the Skylight studios in New York, The Address hotel
in Dubai, La Fabrique club in Tokyo, at a party hosted by editor of The Daily
Beast, Tina Brown, in Los Angeles, and at boutique store Colette in Paris.

While the actual show will be held at the
Chelsea College of Art & Design in London on the 23rd February, the fashion elite
and VIP guests will don their 3D glasses in specially customized screening
spaces designed by Burberry’s Creative Director Christopher Bailey.
“We are very excited to announce that we are
hosting the first ever truly global fashion show,” Bailey revealed to Women’s
Wear Daily. “3D technology will bring our global audience into the London show
space, allowing them to see the colors and fabrics, to hear the music and to be
a part of that moment when it all finally comes together.”

Those without an invite to the exclusive 3D
parties will still be able to watch the show live in 2D at live.burberry.com.
