A.P.C. Gives Barbour a Parisian Spin

BRITISH outerwear stalwart Barbour and Parisian label A.P.C. have collaborated on a capsule collection for Autumn/ Winter 2026, offering everything from waxed jackets and denim to knitwear, shirts, shoes and accessories.

After all, Barbour has spent more than 130 years producing practical outerwear, beginning with oilskins for fishermen and sailors in South Shields; A.P.C., meanwhile, has become known for unfussy clothes and very good denim since Jean Touitou founded the label in Paris in 1987.

Several familiar Barbour jackets have been reworked for the collection; the men’s Beaufort, first introduced by Dame Margaret Barbour in 1983, keeps its original proportions, as does the women’s Spey, a shorter style originally designed to be worn with fishing tackle, while the longer Sugarlump Bedale has been given a straighter, roomier shape.

Details taken from A.P.C.’s denim jackets appear across the outerwear, particularly in the pockets and construction. Barbour’s practical features are still there, including utility pockets, removable hoods, wool collars, cuffs and the occasional D-ring, and tartan appears throughout the linings and accessories. The collection also brings back Premium Thornproof Wax Cotton from Barbour’s archive. Made with a denser weave than standard waxed cotton, it gives the jackets more structure and comes in dark sage and navy, and, like A.P.C.’s raw denim, the fabric will soften, fade, and develop its own character with every wear.

The line also includes A.P.C.’s New Standard and Elisabeth jeans, a denim skirt, waxed and tartan bags, caps and totes, plus dark navy boots and even some dark sage clogs. Tartan is tucked inside waistbands and pockets, giving the denim a Barbour touch; everything is practical, with A.P.C.’s Parisian eye giving it a clean, city-ready finish.
