ATP Atelier Collaborates with Italian Weaving Atelier, Constantine

ATP Atelier, the Stockholm-based accessories brand founded in 2011 by Jonas Clason and Maj-La Pizzelli, is known for producing leather shoes and bags in Italy, working with small factories and focusing on pared-back, functional design.

It was only natural then that another Italian collaboration would be on the cards. Cue, Constantine, the weaving atelier with a long and storied history. Established in 1901 in Casamassella, in southern Italy’s Puglia region, by Carolina de Viti de Marco and Harriet Lathrop Dunham, the workshop grew out of the Casamassella School for weaving and embroidery, which was established to help women earn an income through craft. Today, the atelier remains an all-female studio known for its handwoven textiles and for preserving traditional weaving techniques in the Salento countryside.

The two brands have now partnered on a small capsule collection that incorporates Costantine’s textiles into ATP Atelier’s accessories. The range includes four made-to-order pieces: a tote bag, a pillowcase, a large pouch, and a small pouch. Each item uses Costantine’s woven fabrics and is offered in neutral shades of green, brown and black.

The collaboration reflects the shared focus of both brands on craft and longevity, as Costantine describes it, “What passes through these threads is something alive. It is subtle and tenacious at the same time.”

The collection is available exclusively through ATP Atelier’s flagship store in Stockholm.
