CHANEL Cruise Show in the Grand Palais in Paris took us on an extravagant and imaginative trip to Ancient Greece, where Karl Lagerfeld found his inspiration for the collection: “The criteria of beauty in ancient, then classical, Greece still hold true. There have never been more beautiful representations of women. Or more beautiful columns. The entire Renaissance, in fact, was based on Antiquity. It is really about the youth of the world in all its power and unpredictability — just like the unforgiving gods.”
Glass takes a look backstage to see how this inspiration reflected on the beauty looks featured in the show and shares some secrets of how to create flawless make up straight from Chanel runway.
Skin was prepared with Hydra Beauty Micro Gel Yeux and La Solution 10 de Chanel; and the next step for getting an unblemished look was achieved by using Les Beiges Teint Belle Mine Naturelle foundation and the Chanel Éclat Lumeire highlighter.
For perfect eyebrows, the make-up artists used Chanel Le Gel Sourcils from the Eyes Collection 2017; for the eyes, Ombre Premiere powder eyeshadow Ligne Graphique also from Eyes Collection 2017, as well as Stylo Yeux waterproof eyeliners and Le Volume de Chanel mascara were used to create these strikingly alluring looks.
Cheeks were defined by Chanel Les Beiges Poudre Belle Mine Ensoleillee and for the lips Chanel Rouge Coco 468 Michele (2017) to finish off this subtle yet sophisticated look.
