Borgo Santandrea Welcomes Riva To Its Waterfront

PERCHED above the Tyrrhenian Sea in the fishing village of Conca dei Marini, Borgo Santandrea occupies one of the Amalfi Coast’s most charming waterfront locations. Opened in 2021 after a four-year renovation, the five-star hotel has 31 rooms, 21 suites, a private beach club and its own dock, while its interiors pair mid-century Italian design with craftsmanship from across the region.

That setting has become the backdrop for a new partnership with Italian yacht builder Riva, which has opened its first Riva Lounge in Southern Italy at the hotel. The opening adds Borgo Santandrea to Riva Destinations, a carefully selected collection of hospitality collaborations that includes Venice’s Gritti Palace. At Borgo Santandrea, the partnership reflects the hotel’s architecture and its close relationship with the sea, as well as its association with one of Italy’s longest-established yacht builders.

The lounge features polished mahogany, chrome detailing, and aquamarine tones, materials long associated with Riva’s boats. To top off the experience, of course, guests can also step aboard a Riva Cento directly from the hotel’s private dock for private cruises along the Amalfi Coast.

The collaboration continues at Marinella, Borgo Santandrea’s beach club, where there’s a display of archival photography which traces Riva’s history from its founding on Lake Iseo in 1842 through to its place within Ferretti Group today. Established more than 180 years ago, the shipyard is one of Italy’s best-known names in yacht building, producing everything from open motor yachts to custom superyachts measuring up to 90 metres.

For Borgo Santandrea, the collaboration complements a hotel where architecture, interiors and its connection to the coastline are key to the experience, while for Riva it marks the brand’s first permanent hospitality destination in Southern Italy, a fitting setting for one of Italy’s best-known names in design.
