As Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, Bvlgari’s Executive Director of Watch Design, “Serpenti is more than an icon; it’s a signature,” and of course, the mythical snake has long been a source of inspiration for the brand, whose origins are steeped in Greco-Roman art and culture, it’s only natural then to release a new timepiece, especially to the backdrop to the 2025 Year of the Snake.

Further deepening its connection, the brand has built on its beloved Octo and Bvlgari Bvlgari models to offer Lady Solotempo which perfectly complements the Piccolissimo and the ultra-compact BVL150 Tourbillon, which is one of the smallest-shaped tourbillons on the market.
This calibre has been specially developed, designed, and produced to meet the exact size and volume criteria to fit perfectly within the iconic shape of the Serpenti head, featuring a solotempo (aka time-only) display, indicating hours, minutes, and seconds and comes with an impressive 50-hour power reserve.

Plus, in true Bvlgari style, there are diamonds in abundance. Expect diamond accents on the bezel that highlight their expertise, while the transparent sapphire case back reveals the motion of the oscillating weight.
Set against gold scales, there are seven to be precise, and the weight symbolises the watch’s perpetual renewal. Here, Bvlgari has refined the flowing curves of the Serpenti case and has topped it off with a cabochon-cut rubellite crown.
This is only one of the many activations that the Maison is hosting this year to honour the Year of the Snake, as we’ve seen the glittering inauguration of the Serpenti Infinito exhibition in Shanghai that showcases contemporary artworks inspired by the brand’s motif and produced by international and Chinese artists. The brand is also back as the official jewellery and timepiece partner of the BAFTAs. It will be hosting the Eternally Reborn exhibition in its New Bond Street boutique to coincide with the awards.
