Chanel returns with a Baroque inspired Les 4 Ombres Byzance collection

THE LES 4 Ombres palette makes a bolstering return this season after diving deep into Chanel’s archives. Inspired by Baroque aesthetic jewellery found and preserved in the House’s heritage department, the new eyeshadow range injects an aura of sophistication into this bold glamour make-up look.

Looking at the effects of hammered gold and sparkling precious stones, Chanel Beauty wanted to create the same magpie fascination with the colours and pigmentation as these accessories have on us.

Bringing this ‘barock attitude’ that is an underlying theme across Chanel’s fashion sphere as well as what Gabrielle Chanel originally designed, these limited edition palettes (£57) hone in on the hues of Byzantine beauty.

Parure Baroque

The Parure Baroque palette fuses together Ruby Red, Emerald Green, Antique Gold and an iridescent Pearl White shimmer.

Parure Impériale

The second launch is Parure Impériale, a palette made of a Yellow Sapphire shade with a purple Garnet and bold shades of Red Quartz and Rose Gold. The most subtle palette is the Parure Vénitienne, a play on shimmer with Coral Carnelian, Beige Gold, Brown Amber and an injection of sea green with a Moonstone colour.

And the last, Parure Cristal, is a beautiful feminine array of shades with Opal and Quartz, Taupe and a subtle sky blue pearl top coat.

With summer edging closer and the nights beginning to get longer, Chanel’s Les 4 Ombres is the perfect buy to celebrate the seasonal change.
