Customers are invited to share the design and assembly process through a personal appointment, upon which choices are made across a large selection of the finest leathers, threads, and techniques. Designs range from D’Auchel’s signature Thais handbag to weekender Chrystel.

This marks the opening of the first French atelier in Hong Kong and a resurgence of craftsmanship in the luxury sector.

“I want to introduce to Asia the traditional art of French handbag making as it has been done for centuries in the boutiques of France,” said founder Olivier Dauchez. “My vision is a handbag where no expense will be spared, with extreme attention to detail and tailored customisation for each client that stays true to haute couture, satisfying the stylish woman of taste who appreciates the origin of things and sees handmade as the ultimate luxury and status symbol.”
