Dior gets cinematic with Terminal 3

Dior has been set into chic cinematic motion by American photographer Philip-Lorca Dicorcia. Taking his cues from Dior’s latest resort collection, note the sharp satiny clarity of Dicorcia’s imagery, the art photography master adds a new lustre to the brand’s creative commercial output. In accompaniment with the fashion shoot Terminal 3, realised by the Dicorcia in this winter’s Diormag No7, the compelling concept results in a more interactive and in many ways rewarding viewing experience of Dior’s ready to wear.

Infusing the art of fashion film with references to Hollywood’s Golden Age as it transitioned into the 1960s, the new short, filmed entirely in California, captures a moody Orange County elegance with a Valley-of-the-Dolls-esque sterility. In all of a minute and a half, Terminal 3 manages to summon up an intriguing melange of emotions.
