Glass discovers Bulgari Man Terrae Essence Eau de Parfum

AFTER the immense success of last year’s Man Glacial Essence, Bulgari has debuted a brand-new scent for 2021 — the intoxicating, earth-inspired Man Terrae Essence.

Keeping in line with the House’s continued exploration of the elements, Man Terrae Essence celebrates the diverse flora and fauna of Tuscany. Concocted by Master Perfumer Alberto Morillas, the fragrance centres around a potent heart of vetiver essence duo and orris with top notes of zingy citrus and calamnazi accord drying down to hints of terrae accord and styrax essence.

Crafted with the environment in mind, the scent comes housed in a stunning amber-hued glass bottle, with a signature bottle collar imagined in a one-of-a-kind marble effect. Designed using a technique where two different colours are freely injected into the main material, each collar is made of 95 percent recycled plastic — further emphasising the brand’s strong commitment to environmental welfare.

The ties to nature don’t stop there, however. For the launch of Man Terrae Essence, Bulgari Parfums is renewing a special donation to the World Land Trust (WLT). For each fragrance sold, one tree will be planted through WLT’s Plant a Tree initiative to support the reforestation of tropical habitat in Brazil, Borneo, Kenya and India.

Since the inception of the Plant a Tree programme, WLT has funded the planting of 2,357,675 native trees. A purchase of Bulgari’s new Man Terrae Essence ensures that these numbers can continue to grow, supporting not just the planting of a tree, but the whole reforestation process from the sapling, land preparation and planting, as well as three to four years of maintenance and monitoring, to ensure each tree can survive and thrive on its own.
