Glass tests Nuori’s Mineral Defence Sunscreen and Clarity Mask

JUST a quick browse of the Nuori site reveals smiling faces, intelligent articles on the planet and coral-reef-saving beauty, in-depth analysis of safe and effective ingredients to protect and improve the skin, hair, our wellbeing and even smartly designed vegan accessories. It’s a breath of fresh air, in this world polluted with chemical based, mass produced beauty solutions, lacking in honesty or substance.

This Nordic brand has a wonderful options for screening against damaging sun rays, which seems appropriate to mention as we move into cooler weather, as even in the darker months our skin needs shielding, as well as extra defence and treatments being a must for those travelling or residing abroad in warmer climes.

Mineral Defence Sunscreen Face and Body 150ml £50

It is a well known beauty fact that we need to wear SPF protection all year round, as although more imperative in summer, our skin is still vulnerable to negative effects of seasonally softer rays, which increase dryness and imperfections, cause age spots, discolouration and speed up the breakdown of skin tissue, leading to ageing effects.

This natural mineral sunscreen for face and body packs easily in my bag, so I can reapply areas exposed during my days in or out. It works well as a primer under foundation or alone as a well blended layer, giving a healthy glow.

When I’m working, commuting or shopping under florescent lights ,which also omit skin ageing spectrums, I always have the comfort of knowing I’ve applied something chemical free, full of deliciously blended antioxidant, hydrating ingredients, such as freshly sourced passion fruit extract, karanja, carrot and vitamin E oils and pure zinc oxide.

Nuori’s Mineral Defence Sunscreen for face and body, is non nano, made of particles, not so small as to be toxic to the aquatic creatures or corals, even more essential if you have managed to escape to a high factor beach.

Nuori Clarity Mask 75ml £39

This mask is a soft jade green clay colour, with the feel of natural creamy oils melting into the skin when applied, no surprise as it contains both shea and squalane oils, which help it dry to feel firm, as opposed to tight.  I can still smile when it’s dry, with an eerie, less than supple appearance, before I rinse it off with a tepid splash.

My new, seemingly smaller pores look clean and clear and my skin has a softness linked with a strength, as if Ive administered a soothing tonic, a delicate air of self care and beauty surrounds me.

I touch my cheek and notice it feels firmer, plumper and more hydrated as if the mask has gone deep into another layer and settled in there providing nutrients and giving a stabilising effect .

This may be due to something more complex going on, the fresh bio active ingredients absorbing more easily into my skin as they unhampered by the usual irritating additives. Definitely worth trying at least once a week for optimum Autumn skin.
