Glass visits the Benefit Just Wing It pop up in Spitalfields

COMBINING the best of chicken wings and winged eyeliner, Benefit Cosmetics debuts their Just Wing It pop up just across from bustling Spitalfields market. Hard to miss, the shop is hardly reminiscent of your local chicken shop, instead a vividly coloured candy-land of pink and yellow. A real insta-worthy dream.

A paradise for chicken-lovers and beauty fanatics alike, the pop up also served Beefeater pink gin and tonics, presented in pink soda to-go cups. After being greeted with impeccable service from the Benebabes, with gin and tonic in hand, we quickly queued up at the counter to order our chicken wings.

Roller Liner Liquid Liner and Roller Lash Mascara at the Benefit beauty booth

Unlike your typical chicken shop, Benefit provided a handy makeup booth to fill your time while you wait for your order. Taken under the wing of the Benefit makeup artists, we thoroughly enjoyed the quick and easy application of the Roller Liner Liquid Eyeliner, followed by a few coats of the Roller Lash Mascara.

Fast, simple, and effortless, our new winged liner was the perfect accompaniment to our lunch, supplied by much loved London chicken shop Mother Clucker. Needless to say, even the chicken wings had its own ultra-benefit spin, served with a vividly pink mayonnaise sauce. Vegan options were also available, a delicious mixture of cauliflower, plantain, and jackfruit “wings”.
