THIS WEEK the 2018 Met Gala once again brought A-list celebrities and red carpet favourites together to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The biggest event on the fashion calendar, famous faces arrived in a whole host of theatrical outfits for this year’s theme of Heavenly bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination – said to be one of the Met’s most controversial themes yet. Alongside the designer gowns and tuxedos – which even some of the men made the effort for this year – is the beauty looks. Amal Clooney’s flawless face and strong red lip was a firm favourite, and make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury has shared how to get the look yourself.

As if you couldn’t already tell by the super highlight and film star sheen which appears to come from within, Clooney’s gala look was prepped and primed by Tilbury herself, using all Charlotte Tilbury beauty products. Her pearly complexion worked tremendously well with her stunning bespoke outfit designed by the British Richard Quinn.
In the ultimate 15-minute prep for the big night, Tilbury first cleansed Clooney’s face using Multi-Miracle Glow, followed by her Goddess Skin Clay Mask and then her Instant Magic Facial Dry Sheet Mask. Next up was the best-seller and rightly named, Charlotte’s Magic Cream. She then primed using her award-winning Wonderglow which creates the perfect base for perfect application, ready for Light Wonder Foundation in shades 6 and 7. These are just the basics. Clooney was also lucky enough to wear some of the newest Charlotte Tilbury products including the new Pretty Youth Glow Filter in Pretty Fresh and the Collagen Lip Bath in Refresh Rose, both launching at the end of this month.
