JW Anderson introduces logo clothing for the new season

JW ANDERSON has introduced brand logos throughout its SS18 and Resort ‘18 ranges for both menswear and womenswear. The inspiration for the statement logos, an idea adopted by multiple designers, has been inspired by social media trends. Our obsession with fashion bloggers and influencers — who use networking platforms to address their audience —  is constantly increasing, so branding logos allow for us to make the instant recognition.

JW Anderson introduce logos for their SS18 and RE18 collections

The graphic styles for JW Anderson’s statement logos have been adapted differently for menswear and womenswear. Taking a retro approach, the SS18 menswear logos, printed onto T-shirts and canvas bags, adopt a Coca-Cola inspired aesthetic, with visually harmonising the colours and font.

Whereas the SS18 and Resort ‘18 womenswear have opted for woven logos as opposed to a placement print. Being incorporated along hemlines and adorning ballerina sandals, the brand logo is kept simple with minimalist fonts for a sophisticated result.
