KAWS and UNIQLO Drop a Winter Set of Cozy Knits

UNIQLO has teamed up once again with contemporary artist KAWS, who has worked with the brand since 2016 and now serves as its first Artist in Residence. His debut project in the role is also his first venture into knitwear, offering a winter collection that brings his well-loved COMPANION figure and XX signature to a set of easy pieces designed for cold-weather dressing.

The partnership between the New York artist and the Japanese retailer has usually focused on graphic tees and relaxed jersey, but this time line showcases classic knits in cashmere, lambswool, and the lighter Souffle Yarn used across the children’s line. The palette is festive, featuring red, green, and yellow, with detailing in the form of small, embroidered artist motifs.

As for accessories, expect beanies, scarves, and gloves in HEATTECH yarns for adults, plus coordinating caps, mittens, and neck warmers for children. KAWS himself calls the range a set of everyday basics to get you through the winter months, which channels UNIQLO’s LifeWear ethos.
