Lashes with added Ooh Là Là

Somehow for me, I can’t truly get into the festive spirit without lashes that stretch out to infinity and beyond. No “super mascara” for me this season, only extensions will do. I want lashes which are exaggerated and theatrical in length – the kind that would stop Twiggy in her tracks. And for that I have found the very place, for hidden away in London’s Marylebone is Daxita, the lash-queen beloved by journalists and ex-supermodels alike.

Lashes being applied by Daxita at Atherton Cox

Her latest offering is Russian lashes, which pack some serious punch without the weight, delicate and gossamer fine, meaning a cluster of six can be applied to each natural lash, and come in a number of shades and curl shapes depending on the client’s face and eye shape.

Daxita herself is also charming company and my 120-minute treatment goes past in a heartbeat. I went for the most outré, “fake-looking” style Daxita had (but more natural options are available), and ended up with lashes on the right side of cartoonishly sexy and I sailed out of her boutique with more chutzpah than the Sugar Plum Fairy.
