LFW AW15: Lucas Nascimento

Today, Lucas Nascimento re-focused on his strength – superbly executed knitwear– after last season’s experimentations. Glimmering Lurex in copper, smoky silver and dove blue as well as intarsia knits featuring super-sized palm-leaf and Hawaii floral prints were our favourite elements for this AW season.

Layered silhouettes made the textures come into their own and kept the vibe casual as cuffs and hems overlapped seemingly at random. A flower-printed knit cocoon coat in bright red and muted purple was thrown on over a short mocha leather bomber and a similarly printed boyfriend jumper and paired with a supple black leather skirt hitting the mid-calf.

An equally wearable, yet more minimal look featured a black varsity style jacket over and ankle-grazing ziz-zag patterned purple skirt. Referencing sportswear through the prevalent deep, ribbed v-necks, diagonal stripes in the tinsel on oversized jumpers and layered hoodie and bomber styles, Nascimento kept the collection looking enviably relaxed.
