LFW SS16: Sibling

The ‘60s were the name of the game at the Sibling fashion show held in London. Many of the styles looked like something Annette Funicello would have worn in her heyday, except maybe slightly less revealing.

When it comes to narrowing down a collection to spring and summer, Sibling’s creators seemed to focus more on their desire for summer. Swimsuits and beachy cover ups graced the runway in hoards. While more spring style dresses and other pieces were more difficult to find. A bikini top that barely covered much (if at all) and a plastic-y-like choice in fabric were the main stars of the runway. Especially the ruffle style plastic formed a cover up that made an appearance.

The pattern and colour usually found in a Sibling collection were a plenty, but they did lean slightly on the darker side. Mostly because of the vinyl record-style patterned pieces that were carried on throughout the collection. It’s the ultimate collection for fellow fans of 60s beach films and any hair-worshippers.
