Loewe introduce a Landscape series centred around its leatherwear

INTRODUCED during the Autumn/Winter 2024 Pre-collection, Loewe deepens its exploration of form, texture, and artisanal mastery with the introduction of the Landscape series — a tactile celebration of natural topographies transformed through leather.

At the centre of the series is a new interpretation of the Puzzle bag. Long known for its geometric construction, the bag is now reimagined with layers of richly coloured leather arranged in striated, undulating patterns.

These details enhance the bag’s architectural lines while evoking the depth and complexity of the natural world. The effect is both striking and sophisticated, offering a fresh visual language that blends craftsmanship with organic inspiration.

The collection also includes a sculptural version of the Flamenco Clutch and a range of small leather goods, including cardholders, pouches, and wallets. Each piece features the same landscape-inspired technique, with carefully composed gradations of tone and texture that provide a tactile and visual richness.

Creating this effect requires advanced leather-working skills and painstaking attention to detail. In its atelier, artisans cut and layer contrasting leather panels with precision before using a specialised skiving technique to remove thin surface layers. This process reveals the colours underneath and creates a sense of movement and dimension across each item, resulting in a finish that feels both dynamic and refined.

The Landscape series highlights Loewe’s commitment to material innovation and artisanal precision, offering a collection that combines natural beauty with technical excellence.
