Mad about Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea at Sanderson Hotel

Sanderson London, the Grade II listed building located on Berners Street, London, is synonymous with art and design with bespoke interiors created by Philippe Starck – not to mention the newly renovated rooms by renowned interior architect, Tim Andreas.

Sanderson is now also proud to announce the relaunch of their iconic, skilfully designed Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea, taking the concept to dizzy new heights with Executive Chef Matthew Marshall creating an afternoon tea concept where one’s imagination is stretched.

Served inside the hotel’s covered garden, menus are hidden inside vintage storybooks, teatime crockery is adorned with images of whimsical kings and queens, and teatime treats take their name and form from the story itself.

Sandwiches include all-time favourites, such as classic cucumber and smoked salmon, served alongside goat’s cheese croque-monsieur and white crab éclairs. Scones are fluffy, light and mouth-watering, accompanied with sweet strawberry jam and extra thick clotted cream.

Confection treats include Red Velvet miniature Ladybird Cakes, The Blue Caterpillar, Curious Carrot Meringue, and Chocolate-Coated Pocket-Watch Macaroons – a reminder of the White Rabbit and his famous line “I’m late, I’m late for a very important date …”

With an assortment of equally appropriately named teas, blended specifically to cleanse the palate, the Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea is a treat not to be missed.
