MFW AW 2015: Jil Sander

Finding order amidst disorder was Rodolfo Paglialunga’s mission for this season. Long, lean silhouettes contrasted with blocky prints, and a smart palette of navy and black was paired with graphic pops of hunter green, vermillion, and yellow. Sharp linear elements such as waist belts, threadlike straps, and thin diagonals criss-crossed the body, a manifestation of Paglialunga’s search for precision.  While following the Jil Sander tradition of menswear-inspired ensembles, the designer also contrasted them with offerings such as a delicate slip dress and blush toned coats.
