Michael Bonsor announced as Managing Director of The Chancery Rosewood

IN ANTICIPATION of The Chancery Rosewood’s debut, Michael Bonsor has been tapped as the Managing Director of the upcoming hotel. Having already garnered an impressive 10 years of experience with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Bonsor’s expertise is certain to be invaluable to the new development.

The Chancery Rosewood will be taking over the building of the former US Embassy – located in the iconic Grosvenor Square. The Grade II listed building is being transformed by British architect Sir David Chipperfield and developed by Qatari Diar Europe LLP.

Additionally, the interior will match the opulence and aesthetic of the exterior façade. With interior design led by Joseph Dirand, the 144 rooms of the hotel will be elegant, refined and sophisticated. The hotel will also boast an array of amenities including dining venues, meeting rooms, event spaces and Rosewood’s wellbeing destination Asaya.

Prior to working with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Bonsor worked at other prestigious destinations such as Claridge’s and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. As a result, Bonsor has continued to explore the luxury hospitality industry and promises to ensure The Chancery Rosewood becomes a must-visit spot in the metropolitan dreamscape.

Speaking on his appointment, the Senior Vice President of Operations at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts Victor Clavell said: “Michael is an invaluable member of the Rosewood team. Since joining us in 2013, he has been instrumental in realising the vision and potential of the brand in London and Europe at large.”

By intertwining expertise, experience and also luxury design, The Chancery Rosewood – set to open in 2025 – is bound to be a popular London travel destination.
