Twenty years of Dsquared2? It can’t be, but then again, time flies when you are having fun and that’s exactly what the Caten twins have been doing since they copyrighted their go hard or go home menswear label back in ‘94. Feting the milestone with a celebratory offering for the boys, and a few girls too, Dsquared2 staged a reflective compilation of all of their classic staples that ranged from dirty washed denim, skin-tight studded leather and lots of puffy bits of coyote fur.
Drawing generally for the most part on their much-loved Canadian origins, the duo made folksy plaid shirts even camper than they come and layered them with mountains of downy puffa jackets and finally a pair of black-out shades. The Dsquared2 man is nothing if he isn’t suited, booted and charged up to go cruising. Alongside this all though, the Dean and Dan do certainly know a thing or two about making the clothes a man likes and always ensure they don’t lose their international street-smart style, injecting jolts of hot pink into some more blatantly fashion focused pieces.
Topping it all off with some vaguely baroque evening-wear for the modern dandy, the twins then welcomed iconic R&B songstress Mary J Blige onto the runway who crooned the show out and undeniably accompanied the men of the moment to the after-party.
