Nensi Dojaka puts an emphasis on dynamism for SS24

KNOWN for her 90s-inspired cut-out pieces and figure-hugging silhouettes, Nensi Dojaka has become a favourite of many fashion cognoscenti and celebrities.

Having graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2017, the Albanian womenswear designer received the renowned 2021 LVMH Prize for Young Designers. Dojaka went on to create a capsule collection in collaboration with Ssense and Fashion East, while also dressing celebrities such as Emily Ratajowski, Sophie Turner, Emma Corin and Bella Hadid.

Now, for her spring-summer 2024 collection, Dojaka has turned to colour blocking, gentle contouring and crisp tailoring. Combining sequinned wet-look satin looks with matte viscose counterparts, the seasonal offering demonstrates the dynamic creative approach of Dojaka.

Models are seen posing in a kaleidoscope of soft pink, black, white, neutral and denim pieces – a typical colour palette for the Albanian designer. Dojaka chooses to juxtapose low-slung, relaxed jeans with high-waisted, tailored wool trousers to create a versatile image of the Nensi Dojaka woman.

Meanwhile, various lingerie pieces have been styled with bolero jackets, catsuits and pencil skirts in order to create a selection of ideal evening looks.

Despite showcasing many tight, close-fitting garments, the designer also incorporates fluidity and movement into her SS24 collection. Utilising lightweight fabrics such as jersey knit and tulle, the models are transformed into visions of elegance.

Flared sleeves also make an appearance throughout the collection which add volume and further intrigue.

New for SS24, Nensi Dojaka presents us with a jacket-inspired mini dress. Adorned with multi-functional buttons and delicate hardware details, the jacket is perfect for one’s capsule wardrobe. Furthermore, various symbols are showcased such as a ring motif – commonly featured in Dojaka’s collections.

Shot by Drew Vickers, the new imagery shows Sacha Quenby posing in a variety of sensual bodywear and sporty attire. Having opted to not show her collection during a physical show at London Fashion Week this year, the photos exemplify Dojaka’s well-loved, eclectic style.

For footwear, we are presented with delicate stiletto heels and mesh sandals which effortlessly intertwine with her dresses and linger pieces.

With each garment working together to create a holistically harmonious collection, it’s clear that Dojaka will remain a favourite within the London fashion scene.
