PARLEY for the Oceans and Kim Jones, Artistic Director of Dior’s men’s collections, have reunited for their second year of collaboration to bring the fashion-forward, eco-conscious Dior Fall 2023 Beachwear Capsule Collection, to life.
Born from an eco-innovative research project launched in 2019, this partnership fuses Parley Ocean Plastic®—a sustainable material crafted from up-cycled marine plastic debris and fishing gear—with Dior’s artisanal prowess. The result is an array of high-quality fabrics, such as seersucker, silky knit, and a technical fabric featuring the Dior Oblique motif, showcased in the Dior Aqua mini bag.
This collaboration is inspired by Christian Dior’s love for nature, flowers, gardens, and the sea. Kim Jones has crafted a collection comprising 96% up-cycled fabrics that pay tribute to this heritage. The vibrant colour palette features coral, lemon, and Monsieur Dior’s beloved grey, while iconic motifs like the Dior Italic and CD Diamond grace these one-of-a-kind pieces.
The aquatic universe is celebrated in surf wetsuits, created with VISSLA, and stoles featuring mesmerising undersea prints.
The 2023 Beachwear Capsule Collection boasts mix-and-match essentials, blending together comfort, elegance, and innovation. Adventure-ready shorts, pants, tees, polo shirts, and sweaters are complemented by a reversible jacket, openwork tank top, and a high-performance Notox-designed surfboard.
