PFW SS15: Vionnet

Away from the royal blues and lime greens of their AW14 outing, Vionnet SS15 created a collection of soft pale shades and diaphanous silhouettes.

Models walked in asymmetric maxis teamed with sandals resembling warrior princesses or ancient Greek goddess. White, beige, transparent, sheer and layering in refined materials created a fairy-ethereal atmosphere. Halter organza gowns mainly in white, sandy brown, grey and salmon, a beige jumpsuit, white almost crochet minis, tiny-white shorts with tunics, stockings and snickers and a furry shawl lined on the catwalk. The garments were matched with Roman-Empire necklaces, belts and handbags strapped on the back. Embroidered in black flower prints dresses, were a thrown in to contrast for a collection playing mainly with monochrome.

Connecting the old with the modern, Vionnet SS15 gave us magical, surreal and stand-out pieces.
