PFW SS20: Chloé

IN CHARACTERISTIC Chloé style, French chic combined with bohemian undertones, the SS20 collection was debuted at PFW. The runway, with looks designed by creative director Natacha Ramsay-Levi, took place at the Grand Palais. The bare bricked walls and white columns of the location set the tone for the collection, awash with neutral shades in grey, beige, white, peach and black.

Delicate pussybow blouses were paired with tailored trousers, graceful skirts or fitted suits, forming a polished look. This was offset by more casual ensembles – an all denim look with a brown denim jacket and straight fit trousers and a black pleated dress layered over a t-shirt. Classic Chloé bags and chunky leather sandals accompanied each piece, with subtle hints of gold or silver jewellery around the neck or wrists.

Penetrating gazes were circled with smoky, smudged black grey eyeshadow, creating an up-all-night impression. Other looks were more stripped back, with minimal eye makeup and a red lip – the epitome of French beauty. Hair was pulled back from the face, lightly quiffed to add a little volume.

The gentle simplicity of Chloé is always appreciated in Paris, and this collection served as a reminder of the joys of minimalism.
