A NEW wellness address has landed in the heart of Paris just in time for Fashion Week. Meet SANT ROCH, a dedicated contrast therapy space at 8 rue Saint-Roch in the 1st arrondissement, directly facing the Tuileries Garden, that brings large-scale hot and cold immersion to France in a focused, design-led setting, marking a new chapter for the city’s evolving wellness scene.
SANT ROCH
SANT ROCH is founded by Jules and Chloé Bouscatel, the Paris-based couple behind Monday Sports Club, which operates more than 20 boutique studios across the capital under the brands Dynamo, Punch and RIISE. With this new venture, they move away from group fitness and towards a practice centred on the alternation of heat and cold.
The space, which spans 400 sqm across two levels, houses what is described as the largest sauna in France, measuring over 60 sqm. Designed as the focal point of the experience, the sauna incorporates controlled lighting, immersive playlists and aromatherapy as temperatures gradually rise.
SANT ROCH
The ritual follows a simple structure of heat, then cold. Here, expect five plunge pools, maintained between 3°C and 8°C, where guests move between sauna and cold immersion, or join guided sessions led by practitioners trained in the SANT ROCH method. These collective rituals incorporate breathwork, sound immersion, meditation and movement to incorporate all facets of wellness.
SANT ROCH
The space is striking, and chic in its design, with artistic direction overseen by Olivier Léone and architecture by Toronto-based Futurstudio, founded by Ali Mcquaid Mitchell, known for her work on experiential wellness spaces, including Othership; the result is a contemporary interior that places material, texture and light at the centre of the experience.
Open daily from 8am to 10pm, SANT ROCH offers both individual sessions and memberships. Positioned between the Louvre and Place Vendôme, it introduces a new dimension to Paris’s wellness landscape.
