She Inspires Art – Women for Women International at Bonhams


The art world will join forces with Women for Women International at Bonhams next month for an evening of installation, performance, and fundraising in aid of women survivors of war.

She Inspires Art will include a new performance from contemporary artist Amanda Coogan, and an installation by Japan’s leading multi-disciplinary artist Kohei Nawa. A live auction will feature pieces from Etel Adnan, Zaha Hadid, Idris Khan, Sevan Bıçakçı, George Shaw, Massimo Izzo, Kevin Francis Gray, Zhu Jinshi and Fabienne Verdier.

The evening’s fundraising will focus on women in Nigeria, affected by extreme poverty and rising instability, and Syrian and Iraqi women refugees.

“Women facing violence, maginalisation and poverty due to war and conflict need our support. Together we can achieve progress. Their strength, their commitment and their achievements define us all,” says Zaha Hadid.
