Designer Paul Andrew has now launched his first ever temporary shop at the Donna Karan New York Store in London. Open now, the outlet features a dedicated shoe salon comprised of his most desirable SS15 creations as well as a select number of styles exclusive to the UK. In a rare example of direct brand-on-brand collaboration, Donna Karan – one of Andrew’s biggest followers, has pushed aside industry politics, saying “I admire Paul for his creativity, his commitment and his compassion.”
The recent winner of November 2014’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund in New York, Andrew’s bold and instantly recognisable footwear has seen enormous success in the US fashion capital. A name now utterly synonymous with uber-stylish shoes, Andrew has for the past 10 years worked tirelessly alongside Karan as the design head for her collection shoes and accessories.
A regular fixture on the feet of the fashion world, for the British-born designer himself, it seems this collaboration is also a more sentimental accomplishment, marking a return to the city where it all began and set him on a direct course for stilettoe-d success.
