FRENCH artist Pierre Brault has collaborated with St-Rémy on a limited-edition bottle to mark its 140th anniversary. Arriving this month, the release is the latest in the French brandy house’s annual series of artist collaborations.
St-Rémy Bottle by Pierre Brault
Based in Paris, Brault creates geometric sculptures using translucent layers of recycled Plexiglass, exploring how sunlight changes their colours and shadows throughout the day.
For St-Rémy, he took inspiration from sunlit French vineyards, creating a sundial-like artwork that informed the bottle design. The collaboration followed a masterclass with St-Rémy’s Master Blender, Cécile Roudaut, during which Brault looked into the blending process and the French terroirs behind the brandy.

“Working with St-Rémy has been a true source of inspiration, not only for the values we share around respect for nature and time, but also through my encounter with Cécile Roudaut. Her meticulous art of blending, where precision and intuition meet, resonates deeply with my own approach. What struck me most is St-Rémy’s genuine connection to the land, and the way every blend is guided by respect for the living world,” says Brault.
Using recycled Plexiglass, Brault created a work whose appearance shifts with the position of the sun, translating its changing colours and geometry into the anniversary bottle design. Inside is St-Rémy XO, with aromas of oak, vanilla, ripe fruit and honey, followed by notes of gingerbread, candied apricot, dates, figs and nuts.
