The British Fashion Council announces the Fashion Awards 2020

MUCH like the majority of award shows this year, the British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced that the Fashion Awards 2020 will be taking place online this week.

Accessible to the general public for the first time ever, the awards will take the form of a short film with presenters including Millie Bobby Brown, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Rosalía announcing this year’s recipients.

In partnership with Getty Images, Lavazza, Rosewood London and Royal Salute, the virtual ceremony will celebrate the people and organisations who have led change in the fashion industry throughout the past year, spotlighting the leadership and creative resilience of twenty honourees across four categories – Community, Creativity, Environment and People.

The BFC said, “The BFC Foundation supports the future growth and success of the British fashion industry by focusing on three areas: Education, Grant-Giving & Business Mentoring and the Institute of Positive Fashion.” Aiming to improve equality and opportunity across the fashion industry, the BFC supports “talented designers at all stages of their career from school level through to becoming a global fashion brand.”
