The Franklin London transforms their afternoon tea into a haute couture extravaganza

THE STYLISH boutique hotel, The Franklin London as part of Starhotels Collezione, is welcoming all the fashion lovers to a glamorous Haute Couture Afternoon Tea which will be served daily at their sophisticated space in west London.

The experience is truly haute couture as the Knightsbridge hotel reimagines its afternoon tea service into a fashionable experience paying homage to creative directors, style and sophistication.

Head Chef Roberto Roncolato took inspiration from the fashion-led city of Paris and its couture houses to create a memorable experience for all fashion enthusiasts.

The Haute Couture Afternoon Tea serves unlimited teas with a variety from which to choose, such as rooibos, white tea and many more. The first course served is a tier of four savoury bites consisting of butter croissants with crème fraîche, smoked salmon and pickled cucumber, pan brioche with egg and truffle, a mini baguette with crème cheese, Dijon mustard and roasted ham and bigne with foie gras mousse and candy orange.

Scones are also elegantly transformed as they are served both as traditional scones and with chocolate chips accompanied by champagne crème anglais, clotted cream and strawberry jam.

As for the sweets, a selection of desserts is offered, such as the fig mousse and orange sable Sheath Dress, the Haute Couture mille-feuille with creme chantilly, a sesame macaron, the chocolate shoes sable with Valhrona azelia cremeux, the Pochette Forever yoghurt and lemon cake and the star of the show, the La Vie en Rouge red chocolate lipstick.

Truly emanating the haute couture style, the setting is luxuriously chic, with a handbag-like menu adorned with beautifully illustrated fashion-inspired sketches.

For those who want to further submerge into the world of fashion, there is the choice of a Champagne Afternoon Tea, which allows guests a glass of Champagne, and there also is the opportunity to upgrade packages to include a ticket to experience the latest temporary exhibitions at the V&A such as the sold-out Gabrielle Chanel Fashion Manifesto.
