The Golden Age celebrated by Christian Louboutin for AW 2016


THE 16th century marked the beginning of the modern era for England. Royal families began establishing their legacy, yet, none possess such an appealing imprint as the the House of Tudor as reflected in Christian Louboutin recently launched collection for AW16.

With its pyramid studs, engraved with diamonds and pearls, cased in an affluent, courtly palette of rich crimsons, deep greens and regal purple, its indicative of King Henry VIII and Elizabeth l influence. Yet, the use of plush materials such a velvet and moiré with gold-threaded Tissu Viennois reciprocates the art of Tudor tapestry.
