RECOGNISED for their award-winning beverages and mixologists, The Zetter’s hotels are prime spots for unwinding after a long day with an ice-cold alcoholic drink.
Now, the hotel group has decided to embark upon a new adventure – a journey into the world of distillery and winemaking.
The Zetter has just launched its first-ever wine collection, The Zetter Wines. Comprising of two unique vintages – The Seymour Blanc and The Wilhelmina Rouge – the ensemble promises to take guests’ experiences to new heights.
The Zetter Hotel
The Seymour Blanc
To start, The Seymour Blanc blends Chardonnay, Grenache Blanc and Muscat for a crisp, refreshing taste, accompanied by subtle notes of lime, lemon and green apple. Arriving from the southwest coast of France, the wine’s delicate minerality and freshness make for a light yet refined oenological delight.
The Wilhelmina Rouge
Secondly, The Wilhelmina Rouge is The Zetter’s red wine. Intertwining blackberry, plum, spices and black pepper, the wine’s rich flavours make it perfect for casual sipping or alongside a hearty meal. Arriving from Languedoc, The Wilhemina Rouge intertwines Carignan, Syrah and Grenache into one harmonious concoction.
To ensure the wines meet The Zetter’s high standards, the group teamed up with expert winemaker Chris Muret to create the two new offerings. Having produced some of the best Picpoul de Pinet, Muret’s guidance has led The Zetter to produce a range of tasteful, sophisticated wines.
Arriving in bottles adorned with a hand-drawn design by artist Chris Druitt, the wines embody The Zetter’s spirit through aesthetics and taste. Taking inspiration from ‘The Last Supper’, the label shines a light on The Zetter’s team, who appear working behind the acclaimed Zetter bar.
“When designing the label for The Zetter Wines, I didn’t want to just show off the vintage but rather incorporate the ethos of The Zetter itself. Flavours are what give the wine its quality but the label is how that personality is shown. I wanted the team behind The Zetter to be front and centre, as without their hard work and dedication, this product wouldn’t exist,” explains Druitt.
