Wimbledon Comes to the Penthouse for Tennis on the Terrace

AS WIMBLEDON returns to SW19 next week, one of London’s most sought-after summer viewing spots can be found several storeys above Green Park.

At 1 Hotel Mayfair, Tennis on the Terrace is back, transforming the hotel’s penthouse suites into private viewing spaces for the Championships. Expect plenty of Pimms, the obligatory strawberries and cream, a BBQ and views of the action, all enjoyed from the comfort of your own terrace.

While official Wimbledon partners such as Range Rover, evian and American Express bring a touch of luxury to the Championships, 1 Hotel Mayfair is doing much the same in Mayfair, swapping the crowds for skyline views and a little more privacy.

Available across the hotel’s Signature Suites, Tennis on the Terrace includes a live match screening set-up, an in-suite BBQ menu, and a private Pimms bar. The real standout is the Garden Terrace Penthouse, which comes complete with a 102sqm private terrace, while the Green Park Penthouse offers views across London.

If it couldn’t get any more summery, the experience arrives alongside Le Jardin Minuty on Dovetale Terrace, a collaboration with the Provence rosé house serving chilled rosé and seasonal plates beneath striped parasols. Think long lunches, strawberries, fizz, plenty of tennis and everything that makes summer in the capital so fun.
