Glass uncovers an oasis of calm at The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya, Israel

THE Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya, is an oasis of calm, overlooking the largest marina in Israel, while being adjacent to Silicon Wadi, home to Israel’s high-tech companies. With the largest suites available in the country, the Ritz-Carlton perfectly blends business and leisure stays.

Ritz Carlton Herzliya Rooftop

The laid-back vibe is evident as I enter the bright lobby lounge, with views across to the boats in the marina, their masts flapping in the gentle breeze. The expanse of floral arrangements and smell of fresh orchid greeting me hints at the discreet luxury of the hotel. Located minutes from the beach and shopping mall, I can’t wait to explore this affluent neighbourhood.

I watch the sunrise before an early morning swim in the rooftop pool, which builds my appetite for the mouth-watering breakfast buffet. This first meal of the day is synonymous with the times when kibbutz workers relished a sizable meal before commencing their day’s labour in the fields. I enjoy the feast al fresco, accompanied by an ice-cold glass of freshly squeezed Jaffa orange juice.

The Marina

The hotel’s signature restaurant is the award-winning Herbert Samuel, with chef Aviel Sandrusi at the helm. Specialising in mouth-watering seasonal fare, the experience is enhanced by a show kitchen, with the marina as a backdrop, which has made Herbert Samuel a destination in its own right.

The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya

The vibrant cosmopolitan city of Tel Aviv is only 10 miles away, famed for its long stretch of golden beaches, restaurants, nightclubs, and atmospheric markets. And Jerusalem, Israel’s biblical capital city, is one hour away, offering a unique excursion to explore the holiest sites of all three Abrahamic religions in one day.
