Louis Vuitton launch Watch Prize for Independent Creatives in 2023


A PHILANTHROPIC mission that intends to foster and nurture emerging talent in the world of watchmaking, Louis Vuitton’s Watch Prize for Independent Creatives is a far reaching initiative sure to give any aspiring designer an unprecedented boost in their career.

Open to all independent watchmakers, emerging artisans and recent graduates, the initiative pioneered by the luxury French Maison hopes to discover a pool of innovative creatives with the ability to push the bounds of horology further. Beginning in the new year, the scheme will return every two years.

Organised by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, the best submission will be rewarded with a special prize, with the creator receiving a grant in addition to a one-year mentorship tailored to their creative needs. 

The committee who will decide upon the winner are a pool of experts from different sectors of the industry, including journalists, artisans, collectors and artists. Submissions will be open from the beginning of 2023 through till the end of May, with anyone with a passion for watchmaking encouraged to apply.
