Bella Hadid opens new TAG Heuer boutique in Tokyo


SUPERMODEL and brand ambassador Bella Hadid opened TAG Heuer’s new boutique on Monday in Ginza, Tokyo. Accompanied by actor, Shido Nakamura and CEO of TAG Heuer and President of the LVMH Group Watch Division, Jean-Claude Biver, Hadid broke open the lid of a sake barrel, as part of the traditional opening ceremony.

The modular boutique is the first of its kind in the watch industry. The store’s interactive displays with built-in iPads called iTAGs allow customers to browse the models the Swiss watch brand has to offer and shop independently. Through this system, the customers can alert the sales team when they would like to try on a watch.

When speaking about the new store, CEO of TAG Heuer and President of the LVMH Group Watch Division, Jean-Claude Biver said, “This new boutique concept is perfectly in line with the avant-garde spirit of the brand. The Ginza boutique is the perfect setting to showcase this innovation, since ensuring excellence in customer service is firmly rooted in the local culture of Japan.”
