For the location of McQueen’s SS20 campaign Burton alongside photographer Jamie Hawkesworth and art directors in M/M Paris have chosen a remote and deserted seaside cabin, which perfectly fits in with the remarkably romantic sentiment of Burton’s collection. Cabin’s natural light and the seaside’s cool tones perfectly complement collection’s puff-sleeved ivory linen dresses and contrasting organza black beetled linen layered jackets.

“Each look tells its own story. The connection between the clothes is the time it took to make them,” comments creative director Sarah Burton. “I was interested in clarity and paring things down, in the essence of garments – stripping back to the toile. I love the idea of people having the time to make things together, the time to meet and talk together, the time to reconnect with the world.”
