MARKING a significant moment in the brand’s history, Acne Studios has unveiled its first permanent gallery space beneath the Palais Royal titled Acne Paper Palais Royal.
Spearheaded by its publishing side, Acne Paper, this opening hopes to continue their ethos of connecting the worlds of art, design, photography and craftsmanship into a tangible reality.

Announcing a programme that encompasses a plethora of opportunities from artist talks and exhibitions, to magazine launches and book signings, this cross-disciplinary foundation will platform not only those established but also emerging talents across each scene. The decision to ensure that all sections of culture are touched upon reflects Acne Studios’ founding beliefs since 1996 that has consistently lifted up and championed artistic exploration.

Opening Thursday 26 June 2025 with a solo exhibition by Dutch artist Paul Kooiker, who is known for his experimental photography for over thirty years, will present a new body of work aptly titled 2025. Comprised of 42 portraits of international students from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. Emulating the same format as traditional school photos however without the purpose of commeroration, this series reflects the instability set within today’s youth culture.
