Actress Shu Qi is appointed as Bottega Veneta’s latest Brand Ambassador

CHINESE actress Shu Qi has been announced as Bottega Veneta’s latest Brand Ambassador and commences her new role with a campaign shot by Sander Muylaert as she sports the new Gemelli shoulder bag.

With a career extending over three years, Shu Qi is one of the most esteemed actresses in China, with numerous awards to her name and is best known for her performances in both box-office sensations and cult-arthouse features.

The actress was also selected in the main competition at the Cannes Film Festival for her contribution to the films Millennium Mambo (2001), Three Times (2005) and The Assassin (2015).

Throughout her work, Shu Qi has been granted three Hong Kong Film Awards, two Golden Horse Awards for Best Actress, Best Actress at the Shanghai Film Critics’ Awards, Best Actress at the Huabiao Awards, and Best Actress at the Asian Film Festival.

Succeeding the House’s appointment of BTS’ RM in March, Shu Qi is the second cultural figure to affiliate with the company under Matthieu Blazy’s Creative Direction of the label. This collaboration emphasises Bottega Veneta’s dedication to the arts and their brand ethos.

Bottega Veneta inherits the classic spirit of Italian craftsmanship, invigorated with innovative creativity and a truly global outlook. There’s a cinematic quality to the design, with a beautiful sense of texture, detail, and movement. It’s a pleasure to represent such a rich heritage and distinct creative vision.” — Shu Qi
