ASICS SportStyle launch sixth collaboration with Cecilie Bahnsen for the Gel-Kayano 20

SO POPULAR amongst the fashion crowd that ASICS SportStyle and Cecilie Bahnsen have launched their sixth collaboration – the Gel-Kayano 20. First spotted during the AW25 runway in Paris last February, this iteration continues to showcase the narrative that they have built so confidently together.

Still highlighting the original Mary Jane silhouette adored by the Scandinavian designer, this shoe reimagines the sculptural detailing and the half-tongue construction. Pushing it further, having visited the archives, she also wanted to incorporate the asymmetrical lacing and D-ring hardware found in the 2005 marathon tabi.

The result was a true combination of ASICS’ past and present, as well as a fusion of taste and aesthetic from Bahnsen.

Coming in two colourways – either vanilla/pure silver, or olive – the trainer maintains the famous floral cage embroidery known to be one of Bahnsen’s key design motifs creating once again that gorp-core cool with the hyper femininity of blossoms.
