AW19 MFW: Tod’s

LEATHER boots, leather coats, leather skirts … True elegance and femininity for Tod’s stems from inner strength and self-confidence. The AW19 collection, displayed at Milan Fashion Week, adorned classic pieces with a chic “Italian gaze”, giving a new life to the wardrobe of everyday.

In our busy and versatile lives, dress for occasions has become a rarity – and Tod’s is a strong opponent of this idea. The sense of elegance and sophistication is a much-needed quality that should surround a woman throughout her day, and should come naturally, from her own love for life. Yet, wardrobe is an excellent tool to make this happen, reassures Tod’s.

Nappa leather trenches, immaculate blazers, graceful skirts, shirts and trousers with a crisp boyish cut were all designed with an idea of powerful, self-sufficient woman in mind, but also feminine. The strong looks are embellished by the warm and saturated colour palette, fusing powder pink and bordeaux, deep green and dusty blue. The feeling of spontaneity is introduced by animal print touches, quilted jackets with belts around the waist to accentuate natural body shapes, and chunky ribbed knits with jacquard finishing that add a hint on nonchalance and glamour.

Tod’s accessories always always feature an elegant nuance that highlights the look. The penny loafers have metal detailing, and the boots and galoshes have sport chunky soles, both making the looks stronger; while tiny cross-body bags add a touch of Italian femininity. D-Styling handbag stays the ambassador of Tod’s style, the confident elegance.
