Awon Golding has just launched her second independent millinery collection for Spring/Summer 2014, Colori Gelato. Bringing a fresh vision to the art of women’s hats and headpieces. Inspired by a summer backpacking on Italy’s Amalfi coast, this collection mixes very strong graphic lines with the playfulness of soft gelato pastel colours, bringing togheter the expertise of traditional millinery techniques and the new, modern approach from the London-based Awon who grew up in Hong Kong and India.
Colori Gelato takes our minds to the seaside elegance of the Italian coast, utilising materials like pinokpok, sinamay, ostrich feathers and silk flowers, creating a visual feast for the classic and bold women.
The collection will be available for purchase at London’s prestigious design emporium, Liberty, as of May 2014.
