BOTTEGA Veneta is to host a show at Accademia Di Bella Arti Di Brera in Milan to celebrate its 50th anniversary as a luxury fashion brand as well as Tomas Maier ’s 15th anniversary as creative director at the label. The brand has also announced that its SS17 show will be held in one of the most prominent institutions for education in the city.

For the first time since Tomas Maier has been Creative Director, the SS17 show will be presented outside of its own venue. However, this is not the only first for Bottega Veneta – they are also combining the men and women’s show for the first time.
Staged in the classroom hallways, lined with classical sculptures and artworks, it marks Bottega Veneta’s commitment in supporting students through scholarships, via the Accademia di Brera educational program, which aim to encourage creativity in future generations.

“Bottega Veneta is about the creative work of the hand. To celebrate my 15th anniversary, and the 50th of the house, I am happy to stage our show at the Accademia, and to do so in the presense of all the artisans and people who have supported us,” comments Maier.
