Bottega Veneta returns to Milan for its AW23 campaign

ILLUSTRATING the brand’s Italian heritage, Bottega Veneta’s autumn-winter 2023 campaign features models posing in Matthieu Blazy’s latest collection in front of various Milanese backdrops.

With an accolade of photographers collaborating for the campaign, such as Louise & Maria Thornfeldt, Malick Bodian and Sander Muylaert, the images capture the timeless, artistic allure of the capital.

Subtle, understated and yet intrinsically Italian, the campaign exhibits the latest offering in all its glory. Models including Emma Balfour, Heather Diamond, Silas De Maat and Liu Wen are positioned in various settings such as on the streets of the city, waiting at help desks, casually maundering around elevators and in a variety of more esoteric locations.

Emphasising the importance of Bottega Veneta in one’s everyday routine, the images demonstrate the versatility and adaptability of Blazy’s latest work.

A film – directed by Massimiliano Bomba – accompanies the sleek stills in order to further display the transient intangibility of the campaign.

With models moving through various doorways, settings, exits and entrances, the film highlights the chic, city-orientated personas of the imagined characters. Elevated wardrobe classics are styled alongside distinctive, infamous Bottega Green-painted accessories and delicate jewellery pieces.
