CHECK out the tunes. As Christopher Bailey prepares to present his ultimate show at Burberry, The British brand have teamed up with Apple Music to celebrate 17 years of soundtracks. The playlist will allow Apple Music subscribers “to explore and enjoy the sounds that have shaped the brand over its recent history”, as Bailey has continuously reverted back to music for creative inspiration.

The playlist, exclusive to the Apple streaming service, will encapsulate Bailey’s successful 17-year streak with the fashion house, incorporating songs that have defined some of Burberry’s most memorable, post-millennial moments. Tracks taken from the runway are accompanied by records that artists have performed live at Burberry events, intertwined with recorded interviews from Burberry collaborators. The patriotic playlist recognises Bailey’s passion of celebrating British talent, starring the likes of Adele, Elton John, James Bay and George Ezra to name a few.

The patchwork of tracks is “a musical tribute to Burberry’s past, present and future”, the melodic backdrop of the house of check’s success, led since 2001 by the enlightened visionary. A man that has immersed himself within song from an early age, expressed this part of his person through fashion and finally payed respect to the musical arts on his departure is a man worth admiring – and we can’t wait to feel inspired by playing the curated playlist at the Glass office.
