THE RENOWNED performance and luxury lifestyle brand Canada Goose has announced their soon-to-be-released collaboration with designer Rokh and artist Matt McCormick for their FW23 capsule collection.
High fashion meets high functionality with Canada Goose’s first collaboration of the fall-winter 2023 season. The eight-piece collection which is set to be released on the 7th of September this year, comprises puffers, trench coats and jackets available in colourways of tan and black alongside a knitwear collection exhibiting Mccormick’s artistic landscapes of the Monument Valley skyline.
Seoul-born and Texas-raised designer Rok Hwang, established his London-based brand Rokh, debuting his first show when he opened Paris Fashion Week in 2019.
After years in the industry studying at Central Saint Martins and working with the likes of Celine, Chloe and Louis Vuitton the award-winning designer distinguished himself in the industry with his womenswear brand.
Rokh hones into garment design that prioritises elegance and adaptability while playing with the contrast between femininity and masculinity.
Hwang focuses on the communication of effortlessness while documenting the developmental process of garment making. Rokh is known for its timeless yet against-the-grain nature as it celebrates artisan craftsmanship but also deliberate imperfection with ambitions to create refreshing wardrobe staples.
The multi-disciplinary artist Matt McCormick brings a sense of cultural influence to the collection with his characterized style of work assimilating the diversities of the highs and lows of American life.
Inherent to the collection and realised in each garment is Mccormick’s artistic understanding of the nostalgic freedom of Western Americana, a concept fundamental to his work.
The collaboration which was first showcased at Paris Fashion Week autumn-winter 2023 back in March, integrates supreme Canadian performance with London-based luxury design and the novelty of traditional Western Americana.
