Celine releases Age of Indieness runway film

WITH A collection titled Age of Indieness and a creative director enthused by music, it only seems right that Hedi Slimane released a film for Celine’s AW23 show at The Wiltern.

Through the unveiling of the womenswear collection last December, the looks were aptly interrupted with live performances from Iggy Pop, The Strokes and Interpol, as well as a DJ set by The Kills, all coming together to create a snapshot of the rare raw essence of rock’n’roll culture lost in the modern world.

Beginning with the telephone ringing against the beat of Los Angeles’ streets, the phrase ‘Hello Operator’ pulls us into the world created by Slimane for the French fashion House. With snapshots of moving image from the new campaign at the start, the show unfolds allowing for a more in-depth insight into the recently launched collection to be enjoyed by all.
